Do Delta State
University students have preference in being admitted to the School
of Nursing?
We invite all students to submit their
application to the School of Nursing. We have a wonderful working
relationship with the community colleges and universities in our
state and surrounding area. The majority of courses taken at local
community colleges and universities will transfer to Delta State;
but, we ask that you contact the Registrar’s office for verification
of transfer work.
Admission is competitive for every new class.
Can I take nursing
classes in the summer and finish my nursing degree faster?
The actual nursing classes for a generic BSN
student are offered beginning with the Spring semester and
continuing in the Fall, Spring, Fall, Spring semesters, making this
a five semester program. Classes are not offered during the summer
semesters. Many students try to work or volunteer in a health
related field during the summer to increase hands on experience.
The RN-BSN and MSN degrees do have summer courses.
