Special Class Notes - CIS 205 Byrd

  • Blackboard email will be one of our methods of communication for this class.  Each email should deal with one assignment.  Each email should be concise but include all requested information.  Email header information should always include your name and a subject or assignment name as shown below.

  • Assignments to be submitted using Blackboard should be submitted on or before the due date and time.  I suggest that you complete assignments early, allowing time for re-submission due to computer/network problems or exercises that you failed to upload.  Late assignments are penalized 20%.

  • All printed lab assignments must have a footer with the following information:

Name - Left Corner
Class Time - Center
Lab Number & Exercise Number - Right Corner

Before stapling assignments to turn in, make sure they are in order.

  • Double check homework to ensure all assignments are included.
  • Students who wish to discontinue the class should officially drop the course; otherwise a grade of “F” will be recorded.  (2004-2006 Bulletin, 72-73)

  • Set a desired goal for the course and work towards that goal.  Extra credit assignments/projects will not be given to raise a grade for any reason.

  • No eating or drinking in the classroom.
  • Children are not allowed in the classroom during class time.  Children in the building must be supervised at all times.
  • Cellular telephones must be turned off in the computer lab.
