We will cover Chapters 1-4, 6-11 of the text, with partial coverage of
Chapters 5.
EXAMINATIONS:
- There will be four 100 pt. hourly exams.
Each exam will cover approximately two to three chapters of the text.
There will also be a 150 point comprehensive final exam.
- The lowest of the 100 pt. hourly exams will be dropped when your
final grade is averaged. You may not drop the final exam.
- On exam day, the student provides a green-and-white SCANTRON sheet,
#2 pencil, and a scientific calculator.
- NO sharing of calculators during exams. NO cell phone
calculators. NO cell phones.
- If you are going to be absent on official school business
then you may request to take an examination early, NOT late.
- If you miss one of the hourly exams, then that exam will count
as your drop exam. If you miss two of the hourly exams,
then one exam will count as your drop exam and you will receive
a grade of ZERO for the second exam.
- Problem sessions will be held on the afternoon of the last
weekday prior to an exam. (E.g., Friday before a Monday exam, etc.)
- Exams will be held two class periods after the completion of the
material for that exam. This rule does NOT apply to Exam 4
when the end of semester schedule may not necessarily allow this.
- Examination grades and final course grades are
"curved"
at the discretion of the instructor.
- Your course grade will be based on 450 points.
