Attendance |
You are expected to attend class regularly. If you attend all class sessions, you will earn the full 14 points for your attendance grade. Unexcused and notified absences will result in a lower point total for your attendance grade. The following table indicates the points you will receive depending on the number of absences you have over the course of the semester. Note that you will receive partial credit for ½ absences (such as a notified absence), so for example if you finish the semester with 2.5 absences, you will get 12.7 points for attendance.

Note that more absences also increase the likelihood that additional points will be deducted from your course total for lack of engagement. If you have more than 10 absences over the course of the semester, it is very unlikely that you will earn a passing grade in this course.
