Assignment:  Write a two-page reflective essay on the readings using the following as a guideline:

McMichael presented the globalization project as an active process, while Friedman argues that globalization is an inevitable, almost natural, phenomenon. Consider the logic of Friedman’s position and how this shapes his perspective regarding what individuals, communities and nations should do to survive in the global system. What recommendations would Friedman make for the Mississippi Delta?
