Assignment:  Write a two-page reflective essay on the readings using the following as a guideline:

An important point that Stiglitz makes is that institutions matter in carrying out macroeconomic policies and reforms, and that globalization’s unequal impacts can be traced, at least in part, to failures in national and international institutions and structures.  One of the cornerstones of globalization in practice has been privatization, but can we (or should we) trust private corporations to implement the globalization agenda?  What might we expect to see if we do?  What role might international institutions and corporate governance play in stabilizing the international economic order through globalization?
