Attendance
You are expected to attend class regularly. If you attend all class sessions, you will earn the full 10 points for your attendance grade. Unexcused and notified absences will result in a lower point total for your attendance grade. The following table indicates the points you will receive depending on the number of absences you have over the course of the semester. Note that you will receive partial credit for ½ absences (such as a notified absence), so for example if you finish the semester with 5.5 absences, you will get 3.6 points for attendance.

Note that more absences also make it more difficult to earn points for participation and engagement. If you have more than 6 absences over the course of the semester, it is very unlikely that you will earn a passing grade in this course.
