Topic:  The video “Costa Rica Counts the Future” discusses both environmental sustainability and social justice issues in Costa Rica.  Many of the programs that Costa Rica is instituting in the name of environmental sustainability also involve marginalized groups (e.g. women, indigenous people, peasant farmers).  What are some advantages and disadvantages of including these groups in national plans for sustainable development?  Could Costa Rica achieve sustainable development without including a social justice dimension into their plans?  Why or why not?
