Instructions:  Prepare a two page essay on the topic identified below.  Be sure to develop an explanation or argument in your essay.

Topic:  In the video “Prophets and Loss,” one of the speakers notes that the Chinese express “crisis” by combining two symbols, one which means “danger” and the other “opportunity.”  Do environmental issues such as global warming represent more of a danger or an opportunity to the world?  (Choose ONE and develop an argument).  Consider the political and economic dimensions in your response.
