Collaboration and Partnerships |
The Delta Rural Poll is working with similar surveys in other states to
develop a national data base of comparable indicators of rural conditions. |
Partnerships
The Delta Rural Poll works with a variety of community and academic
organizations through collaborative and partnership arrangements.
At Delta State University, the Delta Rural Poll regularly partners with the
Institute for Community-Based Research, another program of the
Center for Community and Economic Development, to carry out data collection
in Delta communities. The Delta Rural Poll has also collaborated with
the Delta Center for
Culture and Learning on heritage tourism projects.
Statewide, the Delta Rural Poll has a productive collaboration with the
Social Science Research Center
(SSRC) at Mississippi State University, directed by Dr. Arthur Cosby.
The
Survey Research Unit, under the direction of Dr. Wolfgang Frese, has
collected data for our surveys. The SSRC has also provided funding to
carry out the Delta Rural Poll.
