Today we visited Santa Croce where such greats as Michelangelo, Galileo, Dante and Machiavelli are buried or interred. The church has numerous chapels around its perimeter. These chapels belonged to individual families and were used for baptisms, weddings and funerals. The final resting place of many wealthy and famous Florentines is here in San Croce.
